| Bluetooth
A2DP This
profile defines how high quality audio (stereo or mono) can be streamed
from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection - for example,
music streamed from a mobile phone to a wireless headset. A2DP was
initially used in conjunction with an intermediate Bluetooth transceiver
that connects to a standard output audio jack, encodes the incoming
audio to a Bluetooth-friendly format, and sends the signal wirelessly
to Bluetooth headphones that decode and play the audio. However, many
Bluetooth 1.1, 1.2, and 2.0 mobile phones and portable media players
natively support A2DP, and most newer Bluetooth 2.0 headphones support
it as well.

This version, specified in November 2004, is backward-compatible with
1.1. The main enhancement is the introduction of an enhanced data
rate (EDR) of 3.0 Mbit/s.

Coding (SBC) is a powerful method of encoding audio signals. The Bluetooth
Stereo A2DP specification contains a reference encoder and decoder
for the SBC codec. Music mobile phones with A2DP profile stream SBC.

Widening Widening
of the sound field. This sound effect is available on the Parrot PARTY.
It permits to trick on the real position of the Parrot PARTY. It simulates
ideal listening conditions as if the two speakers where at 30°
from each side of the listener.

Superbass Bass
amplification. This sound effect is available on the Parrot PARTY
and Parrot DS1120. That’s the combination of two methods. First,
there is a static filter enabling to ear the bandwidth on the bottom.
Second, there is an algorithm that gives the illusion to the listener
to ear bass frequencies that actually does not exist.
